The Lady Commodores will represent the Panhandle as the conference’s top seed at the state tournament set to begin March 8 in Marianna. The Lady Commodores improved to 22-4 overall and 9-3 in the conference. Pensacola also finished 9-3 in the Panhandle — and 23-4 overall — after collecting a 71-57 win at Tallahassee earlier Saturday. Because GC defeated Pensacola two out of three times during the regular season, the Lady Commodores reeled in the No. 1 seed out of the Panhandle. GC also finished the regular season strong, sweeping all four conference opponents over the final two weeks.
